Did you boot from the AIX cd first and then point to the mksysb tape?
If not, you may not have all the MCA device filesets, especially network
adapters.
I cloned an H80 to a 595 and it worked, but since I loaded new filesets off
the AIX cd at clone time, I had to apply the latest service pack before
everything worked.

I have been searching the FAQs and archives but was unable to find any
pertinent info
I am attempting to clone a P690 LPAR mksysb onto a RS6000 7013(595) JSERIES
server
Everything went OK but it is hanging at this point:

Starting the sync daemon
Starting the error daemon
System initialization completed.
