oracle 32bit or 64bit

     I have a new machine coming in,
a 7028 - 6c1, which will be running an
Oracle database (8.1.7) and potentially a web server.

     This machine will be configured for 3G
of memory. Is there any advantage to configuring this
machine as a 64 bit machine and installing
a 64 bit version of Oracle? Our current 8.1.7 system
is 32bit.
