Dave be careful. I believe it's AIX 5.2b that will support all software
such as db2, tivoli, oracle etc. AIX 5.1 I know for a fact has alot of
capatibility issues with software you'll end up installing it and find
library link errors and applications not running. I suggest to everyone who
asks about AIX 5L wait for AIX5.2bL. IBM is planning that this version will
be like 4.3.3 was to the 4.0.0 O/S family. It will be the most stable,
backward compatible and no changes are to be made to that for a while.
There's also hopes of that version being ML free!. With the exceptions of
APARS from time to time of course.
