AIX Experts,
We currently have old RISC/6Ks (340,390,570,59h,970) running
AIX4.1.3 with dual fddi cards installed. The network personnel have decided
we need to upgrade our fddi cards to 10/100 Ethernet where possible. Well
last night we started the move with trying to install the first card on the
340. No luck. We first powered down the 340, then removed the fddi cards and
installed the new nic. We were unable to communicate with the rest of the
network. Has anyone out there done this process and if so what are the
processes in doing this.
