Dave,

      I recreated this problem on "tsmtest", just look at the procedures
below they should help you to resolve this issue. Your template either got
corrupted, the size of the errpt log file exceeded the limit and there
wasn't enough space in the "/var" filesystem or the errpt daemon is not
started, or the err special file in the "/dev" directory is gone. These are
just some problems which could be the bottleneck. Here are the procedures:

Folks,

I have a problem when I try to run "errpt"

I get:

0315-141 errpt: invalid error log entry length: 0 at offset: 180516
0315-171 Unable to process the error log file /var/adm/ras/errlog.

However, when I use SMIT, it looks OK

Any help?
