hi,
i had such linker-errors when I try to compile oratcl3.3 on AIX 4.3.3 with
gcc.
The solution for me, was to insert a "-lc" directly after the "ld" command.
So maybe you should try it with one of "-lnsl -ldbm -ldl -lld -lm -lC -lc
-lcrypt -lbsd -lPW -lpthread" or all together
after the ld.

Hello again all,
I've got another issue that I'm working with regarding
the AIX/Linux toolbox version of gcc. I've got mysql
(MySQL-client-3.23.39-1, MySQL-3.23.39-1, and
MySQL-devel-3.23.43-1), gcc (gcc-2.9.aix51.020209-1
and binutils-2.9.aix51.020209-1), and apache
(apache-1.3.20-1ssl) installed on AIX 5.1. I'm trying
to compile the DBI and DBD for mysql into perl on the
box, and although the DBI seems to compile and install
ok, the DBD does not. Here's the error that I'm
getting when doing the make:
gcc: unrecognized option `-qmaxmem=16384'
gcc: unrecognized option `-q32'
gcc: unrecognized option `-qlonglong'
mkdir blib/arch
mkdir blib/arch/auto
mkdir blib/arch/auto/DBD
mkdir blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql
Running Mkbootstrap for DBD::mysql ()
chmod 644 mysql.bs
LD_RUN_PATH="/opt/freeware/lib/mysql:/lib"
/usr/bin/perl myld ld -o
blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so
-bhalt:4 -bM:SRE
-bI:/usr/opt/perl5/lib/5.6.0/aix/CORE/perl.exp
-bE:mysql.exp -b noentry -lC -lc dbdimp.o
mysql.o -L/opt/freeware/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient
-lz -lcrypt -lm
chmod 755 blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so
chmod: blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so: A file or
directory in the path name does not exist.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is
1.
Stop.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
