Hi all,
I have an old 590 box running AIX 5.1, configured to
startup the CDE desktop as the default at boot time.
Lately whenever I try to launch a console app such as
"terminal" or "text editor" , even "logout", I get an
error message "Action dtterm is not found", or
"Action TextEditor was not found", and so on.
I reloaded the CDE fileset bundle from the install cd-rom,
and it seems to fix the problem temporarily. But within a
day the same old problem is back. I have tried this fix a
couple times but everytime the problem reappears.
I also tried disabling rpc.ttdbserver in /etc/inetd.conf
but this hasn't helped either.
Anyone have other suggestions?
