it's kind of hard to follow the larger disk model OFA on internal disks. the flexibility of SAN attached disk makes building the DB environment for performance much, much easier, particularly under larger DB models.

that would depend on the external storage....my fastt700 is WAY faster
than the internal scsi disks. 350MB/sec (to /dev/null from raw devices)
