The 2975 is PCI and works with 4.3.3 and 5L; the 5701 is PCI-X and works
with 5L only. The 2975 is not being sold anymore, although my IBM reseller
said its possible to get them used...

Can someone clarify the difference betyween the 2975 and the 5701 adapters?
If I check the pci adapter placement guide I know I can verify if it is
compatable with my server
but I'm having a hard time figuring out which pci adapter guide corresponds
to which specific
adapter model. I have a mix of AIX 4.3.3 and 5L and my understanding is I
need the 2975
if I am still running AIX 4.3.3.
