I think the problem may have been the odmdelete commands. These sorts of
commands should not normally be used until other avenues have been
exhausted.

It's likely that a simple reboot would put things back the way they were at
the start of this problem, permitting Gustavo to try again with the normal
commands.

If that worked, I'd start with "rmlvcopy <lv_name> 1 <PVID of missing
disk>", then try "reducevg rootvg <PVID>".
