Subject: Vfb issue
Dear all,
We are starting vfb using following command thru inittab, but Oracle
applications could not access the display (server:1.0). What is the correct
way to start vfb and make it accessible as well.
/bin/nohup /usr/bin/X11/xinit -- -force -vfb -x abx -x dbe -x GLX :1 >
/dev/null 2>&1 &
DISPLAY=server:1.0
Xhost +
# exit
There are running jobs.
Process is running as well:
$ ps -eaf | grep -y 'vfb'
root 180390 241800 0 15:46:40 - 0:00 X :1 -force -vfb -x abx -x
dbe
-x GLX :1
root 241800 1 0 15:46:40 - 0:00 /usr/bin/X11/xinit --
-force -v
fb -x abx -x dbe -x GLX :1
Another question, if I execute the command using 'nohup' at the time of
exiting, it gives the warning 'There are running jobs', and terminate the
process at next try. How can that be addressed.
Regards
