I have a faced a similar problem which i have corrected by transfering
the file in binary mode during FTP. Hope this should solve the problem.

Can anyone help me find an 'unzip' binary for AIX4.3.3? I need to unzip a
hotfix and am not successful when unzipping on Windoze and then ftp'ing and
following up with the uncompress utility. I keep getting the same error:

uncompress: 0653-059 The input file contains bad data; SIGSEGV signal
received.
Am I missing something simple or just having a brain fart?
