There is a "-d" or "-l" flag for logging. There are varying levels of
detail as well.

Run xntpd from the command line and see if you get any errors.

     Hi guys,
     Got two systems running xnptd.
It only stays running for a second
And then I can't find it running. Took
A look in errpt -a and found the following.

How do I interpret this? Or when can I
Look to aid in decoding it?
A copy of the /etc/ntp.conf follows the
     Errpt listing.
