Suhail,

The changes of number of processes per user should solve your first problem.
The second problem is related to numbers of peseudo-terminal pty. It is by
default 256. You can increase the number to 512 :

  chdev -l pty0 -a ATTnum='512'

Subject: Login problem

Hi All,

We have a problem with login for a particular user.

This is a general userid used by many users, when they try to login they
get this message

/etc/profile[36]:0403-030 the fork function failed. Too many processes
already exist.

I check the system environment, the number of processes per user was
128, I changed it to 512.

Will this help?

Another problem was, when we try to login to the system, sometimes we
get the message

All network ports are in use

Can someone help me to solve these problems

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Habeebulla Suhail
