AIX itself was straight forward. I tried both a migration and a clean
install.
The only gotcha I got was applying ML02. It didn't work from the download
site, so IBM sent me it on CDs (took 2 CDs for the 800MB fixes).
Your database, and other 3rd party software may require re-installation or a
new version.

Subject: AIX 4.x to AIX 5.1L
Folks,
Another upgrade question.
Anyone have any experiences upgrading from AIX 4.3.3 to AIX 5.1L?
According to the documentation, all that is needed:
Save all user configurable files.
Boot from CDROM and do a "migration".
Merge all new changes into the existing files.
This sounds a little too "simple".....
Anyone have any input such as gotchas, files, etc.
Thanks!
DaveZ
