Thanks to all for the advice. I should have mentioned in my original post that the box in questions is preproduction, and has no data or even VGs to protect. (I wouldn't bother with this, otherwise.) After reviewing the suggestions, I went with deleting all the drives but hdisk0 and running cfgmgr. It took about five minutes, and now all the drives are properly named. Thanks again.
