Using the iCAP product in GS160/GS320 Tru64 environment

In evaluating the utility of the iCAP product on a GS160 system containing
16 CPUs hard-partitioned into two 8-way Tru64unix instances, the documentation
for the iCAP product (section 4.4 "Re-assigning iCAP CPUs among Hard Partitions
in a System") suggests that CPUs from one of the instances could be "off-lined"
to that instance during low-demand periods and "loaned" to the other instance.
However, the GS160 documentation states that resources cannot be shared among
hard partitions. Unfortunately, the examples given in the iCAP documentation
for the codconfig tool commands don't include any hints to how the codconfig
commands might be used in this situation. Is anyone using the iCAP facility on
a GS160/GS320 platform? If so, has anyone tried to utilize the hard-partition
re-assignment functionality? Is anyone aware of any documentation other than
or newer than EK-ASCOD-UG.A01 March 2006 "Instant Capacity on Demand (iCAP)
Notes for Installation and Use"?

Thanks in advance for any information/help,
