SUMMARY (partial): RAIDset problems on HSG80

Hi All,

Thanks to all who responded (again, I had messages coming in within
minutes of my first posting!). If I haven't replied to all of you
personally, then I apologise! Every message was gratefully received - I
just might have lost track of them all...

Answers were of two groups:

(1) How I should have shut things down cleanly (thanks guys!)

(2) Look at the various clear_error commands at the HSG CLI

Unfortunately neither helped, so I have ended up building a replica of
the raidset on a new set of disks, installing a fresh copy of Tru64 on
an internal disk in the ES40, and restoring from tape.

This has all been successful (I think) but the reason that my summary is
only partial is because I can't now boot from these restored volumes!
I'll pose a separate query on this...

Regards,

Andrew
