removing node from cluster

Dear Managers, I have a two (2) node cluster (GS80, Tru64 V5.1A), and I
would like to remove one node permanently using the clu_delete_member
command. I have looked at the documentation and it seems straight
forward enough. However it does not address the following : does it
matter which of the two nodes is removed (hardware wise the nodes are
identical)? To further clarify, let's call the nodes, NODE A and NODE B,
and let's say NODE A is the 'master node', i.e it was the one from which
the clu_add_member command was issued, can I remove NODE A, without
running into any complications down the road. And just to put a twist on
this, supposing, just supposing, that I decided to add NODE A back into
the cluster (yes I did say it was to be removed permanently) will the
clu_add_member be successful when issued from NODE B? As always, thanks.
frank
