Good afternoon --
I was working to install secure connectivity between a 5.1B platform
and my PC -- our new administrative applications client.
Long story short -- updated /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services to
include the new parameters. Executed inetd -HUP PID to refresh.
When I could not connect, I backed out the changes in the
/etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services files and restarted inetd.
Now, it appears that the telnetd daemon is broken big time.
inetd error in daemon.log
Cannot register service: RPC: Time out
Any suggestions?
All are welcome since I have over 60 users working away.
