Hi all,
I am currently attempting to upgrade from V5.1 to V5.1B and encounter
a fatal error after a message unable to overwrite files in /usr/.smdb./ to
do
with the new version of JAVA.
The message text is:
".......
........
Loading subset 75 of 102 ...
Java 1.3.1-2 Environment
Copying from /mnt/ALPHA/BASE (disk)
tclear: cannot install ./usr/opt/java131/jre/lib/alpha/fast (s) on a
directory
setld:
The installed system contains files which cannot be overwritten
by the load of the files in the software subset usr/.smdb./OSFJAVA540.inv.
74 of 102 subsets installed successfully"
After this it merges the files and then gets a fatal error and it is unable
to proceed.
How do I get past this ? I tried deleting all JAVA related subsets first
but got the same end result.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
John Welsh.
