Problem with printing to remote printserver

Hi managers,

I want to print a file located on an ALPHA server (Tru64 V5.1 1885) -
say GOAW26 - on a printer which queue is defined on a SUSE-Linux
server (Suse Linux 8.1) - say SUS.

Printcommand on GOAW26: lpr -PGOD_007 xaa
Output of lpq on GOAW26:

   # lpq -PGOD_007
   GOAW26: Thu Sep 22 14:26:37 2005: waiting for SUS to come up

What am I missing?

contents of /etc/printcap on GOAW26:

   GOD_007|lp2|god_007:\

           :sd=/usr/spool/lpd2:

lpr-commands on SUS are working fine.
To allow printing from "foreign host" GOAW26 I made following entries in
/etc/hosts.lpd and hosts.equiv:

    GOAW26
    goaw26

and restarted the print spooler: rclpd restart

Of course ping between GOAW26 and SUS works.
