Prbem Alpha Sere ES0

Hi All,

Currently we are facing a strange problem with one Alpha ES40. The
machine doesn't compete the power up sequence and the OCP last message
is "Jump to console" and then it stuck on that. Nothing is coming to the
console "VGA or Serial".
As per the service manual, the jump to console means a bad SRM F/W. we
tried to use Fail Safe Loader to update the F/W, but the situation is
the same as the machine reads the file from the floppy and then giving
"Jump to Console" message on the OCP with no more output.
By using RMC through the serial port, RMC is working and we can check
the status of the machine. For H/W, the CPU, Power Supply, and Fans are
all OK. For the status command, it gives a pending alert which is "AC
Loss".
As per the manual, the AC loss alert means no AC power to the system,
but what does this mean while the power is working???
Actually, I have no spares currently to try to swap the different parts.
We tried to reset all the H/W with no hope.
Could any one, who might face the same problem before, give any
suggestions about the cause of this strange problem?
The machine actually was off for some time before the fault, and the
last status before that was OK.
Thanks.
