First off, I'd like to thank everyone who replied to my request.
Everyone offered great and helpful advice.

I had neglected to mention that the system in question was not at my
physical location(about 25 miles away). The original information on the
number of local disks in the system was given to me via phone by another
party. I ended up stopping by the location last night to verify that my
information was correct. Turns out that tech that talked to me must have
been looking at the server ABOVE the one I was asking about. The server
that was reporting 5 local disks truly DOES have 5 local disks!

The answer to the original question could be accomplished in a few ways.
The most recommended were "hwmgr -show scsi" and "hwmgr view device."
Tom Smith and Seldon E. Ball Jr. Both suggested running "disklabel -r"
on the devices to see if they return partition information

Dr Thomas Blinn and Charles Ballowe suggested using the "scu" utility

Ans Howard recommended a combination of most all of the above while
trying to help me troubleshoot this (at the time) problem.

My apologies to everyone for the confusion.

Kindest regards,
David Palomares
