change of cluster-alias

Hi managers,

we have 2 ES45 in a Cluster running Tru64 V5.1a PK6.
The cluster-alias is :
"cluster1"
We want to use the cluster as "lpd-printserver" for our network-printers.

Due to several complex print-filters (very useful for our print-services), we
need the "lpd" reading:
"cluster1.mpch-mainz.mpg.de" ;(were "mpch-mainz.mpg.de" is our domain-name)
as the printservers name.
As I suggest that the "lpd" in a cluster takes the cluster_name as the
hostname, we would need to change the cluster_name from
"cluster1"
to
"cluster1.mpch-mainz.mpg.de"

The "cluster_name=cluster1" I found inside the /etc/sysconfigtab !

Can I change it to "cluster_name=cluster1.mpch-mainz.mpg.de" without loosing its
functionality ?
If yes, how can I get the new entry running without rebooting the cluster ??

In our network both "cluster1" and "cluster1.mpch-mainz.mpg.de" obey the same
IP-Adress.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Martin Körfer
