Late summary because I was waiting for the official answer from our
verndor:
we are/were having 3 kind of contracts:
- Software support, the right to open a call if we are having problems
with Unix or a layered product.
- Software delivery, HP send me cd's of all the layered products and
(boot) cd's of the operating system.
- Software license update, this gives the right to use the latest (maior)
version of the OS and the layered products. Since there will not arrive a
5.2 version of Tru64Unix i can cancel this contract. HP only told me that
with this contract I can change my Tru64Unix license into the new HP Unix
per Itanium.

Hi,
Our (HP partner) sales repr wants to continue to sell us license updates
contracts for Tr64Unix, because he says that there will be 5.1b-3 and
5.1b-4.
I understood that these will be patch kits and free for downloading, so I
do not need to spend Euro 50.000 for these contracts.
can anybody confirm this please?
