Dear TRUe alpha gurus,
after a long absence here I'm back asking for your help!

My MLS5022 SDLT tape library has a big problem:
  no auto power on!

It is a big problem because when the power in the computer room
returns after a "blackout", the whole cluster automatically boots, while
the tape library remains switched off. It is necessary to touch the
front LCD screen to switch it on!

The worst thing is that when, after a blackout, I manally switch the
library on, it can be used by "robot" command, but the tape device is
unusable:

    mt rew
    /dev/ntape/tape0c: Device busy

The only way to use the tape is to REBOOT the CLUSTER !!!
Infact I could'nt find any combination of hwmgr and dsfmgr commands
to let the tape work again.

I didn'nt find any interesting reference in the printed manuals. but I
noticed that accessing the Library's Remote Management Interface by the
web it happens the following error message:

Invalid Request: AutoPowerOn field not found.
Library configuration update was successfully completed. PLEASE REBOOT
                                                           LIBRARY.

It is printed in the SETUP -> CONFIGURATION MENU -> LIBRARY CONFIG
whenever a configuration is changed.

It let me suppose the library has an AutoPowerOn switch which is not
accessible in any way, not even by the front LCD panel!

The library has:
   Firmware Revision 4.04
   Hardware Revision 0
   Boot Version 3
Tru64 5.1b

Can you help me?
Thank you very much from Italy,

Emanuele Lombardi
