They all said that they used "edauth" for this move, like this:

4.0D: edauth -dp -g > passwd-auth.dat
4.0D: scp passwd-auth.dat 5.1B:/tcb/files/
5.1B: cat /tcb/files/passwd-auth.dat | edauth -s -dp

This, again, bombed out on ome and I started reading the mails
carefully. One step that I missed on my second attempt was "copy or
append new users to the /etc/passwd".

Most likely, that was the cause of the failure of the first attempt, so
a lesson for me, I guess.

I thought that I can create PRPasswd entries WITHOUT corresponding
entries in the /etc/passwd. I'm proven wrong, but on the up side, the
machine is working.

Thank you all.

Nix.
