UPDATED: AlphaServer 1000 4/233 just stops working

I missed some information from my previous post:

* Things are working or appear working:
- power supply unit fan, 2 front fans: rotating.
- RAM (all modules): tested on another AlphaServer.
When one or all modules are removed, there are couple of beeping sound.
- CD-ROM drive: can be ejected.
- hard disks light: blinking and stay on green.
- little lights for power button, reset button and halt button are green.
- top cover is on.
- There is no CPU fan. CPU heat-sink is warm.

* Things are not working:
- nothing on the front LED, even when power up.
- nothing on serial console: no prompt
- nothing on VGA monitor connected to the built-in VGA output port.
- nothing happens after typed *blindly* b and boot from serial console.
- can not connect from network.

* Things I have tried:
- re-sit CPU board.
- re-sit all RAM modules.
- make sure all removable chips are in firmly.

Note:
- The box was running Tru64 5.1-B fine before.
- The box is a home machine so it's not covered by HP support.
- I don't have any other AlphaServer 1000 to test the CPU board or
the motherboard.

Thanks a lot for many replies so far.
