Problem with building kernel after installing NHD 7

Hi. I'm running Tru64 5.1A with PK 6 on a two-node cluster. I'm doing
a rolling upgrade in order to apply NHD7. I need NHD7 because of new FC
HBA's that were installed.

Following the instructions given in the NHD "Release Notes and
Installation Instructions" guide, I'm at the point where I've run
nhd_install on the lead node, booted into genvmunix, and have run
doconfig. nhd_install asked if I wanted to install the Tru64 Unix and
TCR patches so I told it yes, just in case I might have overlooked some
when I applied PK6 back in January (or some time around then).

I haven't reached the postinstall stage yet.

For the configuration options of doconfig, I chose NTP, packetfilter,
iso9660, and audit and then let it do its thing. While it was linking,
ld reported an error (given below) and the kernel build failed.

Here's what's at the tail of /sys/XXXX/errs which doconfig generated (I
did not include the "cc" statements in order to improve readability. I
didn't see any errors with them):

/usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/objZ ITS11.mod
Generating version stamp
Generating EXTRAS.mod
Linking vmunix
ld:
packetfilter.mod compressed: pf_mcopym: multiply defined
*** Exit 1
Stop.

I then ran doconfig again without specifying packetfilter but still
received the same error.

I then removed the PACKETFILTER option from the XXXX config file,
thinking that maybe doconfig wouldn't try to link against
packetfilter.mod, but I received the error again.

Help! I'm at a loss here. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help,
