On a system running tru64 5.1b we have replaced the tape drive tape1.
The tapes are in a tape library.
After the replacement I have done the following commands:
hwmgr scan scsi
hwmgr -delete scsi -did xx (the old entry of the tape)
I now wanted to rename the new created tape to the old name but the scan
command have not assigned a device file to the new tape.
The 'hwmgr show scsi' command lists the following:

The last entry in the list has the correct path and is a tape. The rest
is all here, the changer as mc1 and the other 5 drives tape2 til tape 6.
In the kernel log I found the following message:

Any help to get the tape1 defined again is very apreciated.
