memory leak using java 1.4 fast with JBOSS EJB

We just moved to Java 1.4.2-3 on 5.1A. We immediately started having memory
leak problems with JBoss running out of memory. The single EJB does
explicit garbage collection after each invocation. You could watch the
process grow by 25% in two hours using 'ps ug | grep xxx'. Tried adding the
-Xnocompiledsys switch and no difference. Change to using the -Xdynclassgc
switch, but JBoss won't even start up completely before dying. Changed to
just use the -classic switch and everything works great with no leaks, just
like it did for many months using 1.3.x JVM.

Of course, we would rather take advantage of the fast JVM. Has anyone else
seen this problem?
