Thanks to Marc and James.
There should not be a problem using same hostname for two different
interfaces of the same machine unless
the machines are part of the same subnet.

Bala

Subject: same hostname for two interfaces

Hello Managers,

Can i assign the same hostname for two different network interfaces (on
different networks) of the same machine ?
One of our applications is tied with the hostname of the machine and now it
is required to run the application on different interfaces with the same
hostname.

Regards,
Bala
