For those interested
the MSA1500 is a new controller that will support SATA disks as
well as SCSI disks (and both at the same time !)

The official word came from Dr. Blinn

I checked with our Tru64 UNIX product manager for storage stuff and
he says this about the question:

> NSS is planning to support the MSA1500 on Tru64 UNIX V5.1B
> with the Active/Active MSA firmware release, which is currently
> scheduled for release in the first half of FY 2005. If there are any
> issues with support on Tru64, we will be rolled into the next phase,
> which is scheduled to release about a quarter after FRS.

So not there yet, but planned for early next calendar year (or even
maybe by the end of this year). Hope that helps your planning. If
you need more details, ask and I'll try to get them.
