crash errors

Hi Managers

I came in this morning to find my old Alphastation 255 (Tru64 5.1B with
patchkit 2) on blue screen with the following error messages.

halted CPU0
halt code=7
machine check while in PAL mode
PC=14020

I then rebooted and the boot process froze at the point where "initializing
random number driver" started. I then powered down, and switched back
on. It is now totally dead, the screen is black. The green lights are on
and the CD-ROM tray moves, so it isn't a power problem.

Has my CPU died?
