Hi all.
I don't have a support contract, so I'm trying to report here.
HW: AlphaStation 200 4/233
OS: Tru64 UNIX 5.1B
PK: Service Pack 3
CC: Compaq C V6.5-011 on Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1B (Rev. 2650)
Compiler Driver V6.5-003 (sys) cc Driver
I was trying to compile OpenLDAP v2.2.11, CFLAGS were set to "-pthread
-O4 -c99". Compilation reported a CC error:
cc -pthread -O4 -c99 -I../../include -I../../include -c -o ure.o ure.c
cc: Fatal: A memory access violation (bus error or segmentation fault)
has occurred. Please submit a problem report.
The faulting file was "openldap-2.2.11/libraries/liblunicode/ure.c".
When I removed "-O4" flag from CFLAGS, it compiled. So, there is a
workaround, at least. The file in question is rather long to post here
and it depends on several others. Is anybody willing to take this?
Or is there a "simple" solution - get a newer version of Compaq C?
Nix.
