We have an ES40 running Tru64 UNIX V4.0F PK#7 with a Copper GigE card.
I believe lan_config on V4.0x does not support -s 1000 option. The question
is how do we
a) turn OFF autonegotiation
b) turn ON 1000Mbps Full Duplex?
For the 100Mbps NIC cards, we were able to set eia0_mode (or ewa0_mode) to
FastFD. Is there something similar for the Copper GigE card. This card
shows up as device alt0 at the UNIX level. There does not seem to be any
representation at the console level.
Do we need to upgrade firmware? We are currently running V6.4 of the
firmware.
