Help!-uninstall->reinstall UNIX.

Greetings.
I need help unistalling and reinstalling Tru64 Unix SRN V6.1-3 on
a Compac ALFASERVER ES40.

When it boots, some programs go through and some do not load.
I even tried to get back the GUI. I can get to the command prompt but I don't know that many commands.

I am a newbie to UNIX but good at windows.
Is there any possible safe way I can perform this task.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
