(Summary) unaligned access messages

The easy way to halt unaligned access messages is to use
"/usr/bin/uca p noprint". I have put this into my crontab so it will
spawn every night.

I have a suspicion that my imagemagick could be compiled better and
may come back to the list to see if anyone has a Makefile for 5.5.7
of IM. But for now my thanx to:

Hi Managers,

tru64 5.1 DS10 600MHZ, 1280RAM.

I have upgraded a copy of imagemagick on the above server and receive
screen-fulls of unaligned access messages when I use some of the
command-line functions (convert). It has been suggested to me that
there may be a compiler options I could use that would suppress these
messages as they are cosmetic, not pretty but not fatal either.

I had a look at the cc man page and there are a few Data Alignment
options for cc that are used by default: Data Alignment Options
       Defaults: -assume aligned_objects ,-member_alignment ,-
nomisalign

Does anyone know if I should be disabling some of these options? Can
anyone tell me how, I am not that savy with the C environment? I have
posted a notice to the bugs list for imagemagick in the hope that
future versions will account for this. In the mean time I would like
to remove these messages if possible. Thanx. Dp.
