SUMMARY: KZPAC replace drive sanity check

Replacing the drive was less steps. Physically swap a new one in at the >>>
prompt. Invoke ARC RA200RCU (didn't need to save configuration on the way in
as it could see the failed drive). Make the drive Optimal, and initialize
the logical volume.

Being it was a stripe (and older equipment), it didn't hotspare, rebuild or
automatically rebuild.

Many thanks for quick reply's to Joseph Senulis, Raul Sossa and Bluejay
Adametz, and HPAQ phone support.

It's expected the initial email reflecting to remove and readd the groups
(exactly as before) would have worked, but it was unnecessary.

Best Regards, Blake

Hello,
I have a KZPAC-CB, using ARC RA200RCU, with the following groups:
  A0 A1 A2
  B0 B1 B2
  C0 C1 C2
  D0 D1 D2
  E0 E1 E2
  F0 F1 F2
Drive D1 is failed, the rest are optimal. All groups are 3 drive stripes. To
replace D1, is it necessary to remove the groups after it, and recreate the
groups?
  Example:
  Remove group F
  Remove group E
  Remove group D
  power off, replace failed drive
  Add group D
  Add group E
  Add group F
  Arrange D, E and F
  Init D only
It's been a while, I'm looking for a confirmation on the steps. Is it
possible to create and arrange group D without touching E & F?

Best Regards,
