Console Access to HP GS80

Hello everyone,

I hope this is the correct list to send this question to since this is my first posting.

I have a GS80 partitioned as 2 servers. Currently we access the console via ConsoleWorks running on a Windows PC. I would like to be able to use a Unix console server in place of the PC. I havan't had any luck connecting a serial console directly to the GS80s. The Unix console server is working just fine with ES40 and DS20.

The PC is connected via IP to a DEC terminal server which is connected to the serial port on the server.

Is there something that needs to be set at the SRM prompt. This is a critical server and can't bring the machine down anytime I wish.

I haven't found much information on HP's website for this.

Any help would be appreciated.
