SUMMARY: scu show edt not showing devices on kzpcc-ac

Thanks to Alan, Dr. Blinn, Michael, Raul, and Bryan.

Basically the consensus is that the KZPCC RAID controller - while a SCSI
device - is not considered a SCSI device by the OS. Therefore, scu
cannot be used to manipulate the devices attached to it.

Following that line of thought it seems that the only viable solution
for controlling the KZPCC is to use SWCC which unfortunately requires a
Windows box - there is an agent that runs on the tru64 host but the
actual controller software runs on Windows.

On a side note I can see the devices connected to an HSZ80 and also the
devices connected to the HSG80 - which also are RAID controllers but
somehow still present the logical drives as SCSI to the system. Seems
to me that this function could be built into the KZPCC as well...

Thanks for all the replies!

Subject: scu show edt not showing devices on kzpcc-ac

All,

I'm trying to gain access to a hot swappable drive on my ES40.
Basically I added the drive to the internal 6 slot hot swappable bay
(which is connected to a kzpcc-ac RAID controller) and upon issuing "scu
scan edt" then "scu show edt" I realized that I couldn't see the
kzpcc-ac controller at all - nor my new drive for that matter. I've
never run this command before on this particular system so I don't know
if I could ever see the kzpcc-ac. Also I'm booted of this device so I
know the OS at least recognizes it.

I'm running 4.0g and out of ideas. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
