Thanks to all who responded. Received over 20 replies:
The system came with a NHD-6 (new hardware delivery) CD with
instructions on its use in a PDF file on the disk. Then booted a
generic kernel from the 5.1A system installation CD per the
instructions and swapped in the NHD disk whenever requested by the
installation procedure.
Original question:
We just got in a new DS-25 and want to install Tru-64 5.1A. The system
will not boot from the CD. The message is this platform not supported by
this kernel configuration.
Any help would be appreciated.
I must confess that I am new to this. I am a VMS admin by nature!
