Memory problem.

Hi,

I have an Alpha ES80 running Tru64 Unix 5.1b and Oracle 8.1.7. I have
upgraded the Physical memory from 8 GB to 16 GB. When I edit the oracle init
file to induce oracle to use 12 GB of Memory, I get the following error.

ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27102: out of memory
Compaq Tru64 UNIX Error: 12: Not enough space
Additional information: 1
Additional information: 1540

This means that there Tru64 Unix parameters that need adjustment. Please
assist.
