Hello managers,
I got replies from Peter Gergen, Graham Allan and Russ Schaefer (who would sell
me a module). Thank you all.
It took some more time since this seems to be a rather seldom failure.
The hardware seems to be broken and I've to check for a replacement. Until now
I'm not able to boot this system (well, it's not in production) due to the
broken KFTIA module. Reseating the module or removing the PCI cage didn't make
the AS8400 to resume to the console prompt. I even didn't get any console output
when the KFTIA is installed. If the module is removed the console emits a lot of
mixed characters (7bit ASCII - the typical test chars like ff.fe.fd. ... and
8bit chars that are unreadable). I presume that the system is complaining about
the missing I/O module.
Right now I'm in the purchase process and looking for the best offer.
