Hi,

Thanks to Andrew Wagg, Elin Vaeth, Peter Wolfe and Dr Thomas Blinn for pointing out that dxprint(1X) is in the list of retired DECwindows applications in Section 2.1.1 of the Tru64 V5.1 release notes lists :

http://h30097.www3.hp.com/docs/base_doc/DOCUMENTATION/V51_HTML/ARH8WBTE/TITLE.HTM

This retirement has been advertised in the release notes since about v4.0f (section 8.1).
There is no longer any direct equivalent for dxprint under Tru64 5.X .

Now I need to look at the suggested alternatives, mainly the use of xwd, xpr, and the dtlp command which is suggested by earlier release notes

Andrew has made used of the free set of tools http://www.imagemagick.org/ to achieve a similar result as dxprint.
He wrapped them in a tcl/tk wish script in order to provide a similair looking interface.
For black & white prints he made use of xwd to capture the screen and xpr to print it, which is what most others have suggested.

Best regards,
Michael
