Sorry for the delay in responding, but what with Christmas & New Years
holidays its taken a while to investigate.
Thanks to those who responded, re my problem with the serial console
not working following upgrade to 5.1B. Special thanks to Tom Blinn who
suggested running the ECU disk. I did attempt that, but was
unsuccesful as I only got a file not found error, but it did give me
some ideas.
I did a clean 5.1A installtaion, console worked alright, so i assumed
the ECU setup was OK. I then did a clean 5.1B installation and the
console worked find. This led me to copy the /etc/sysconfigtab to the
other server as there seemed to be many differences in the hardware
configuration. Eureka, the console now worked.
