SUMMARY: MC2 adapter has too little memory

The memory channel card in the ES45 was jumpered to 128MB
instead of the 512MB setting on the other cluster members.

The MC2 default for VMS is 128MB, for Tru64 it is 512MB.
BUT there is a restriction with ES45s, you must use 128MB.
Thanks to Dr. Tom Blinn for pointing this out! It is also
mentioned in the ES45 quick specs, a local field tech
pointed me there later.

The cluster in question was running 512MB, the new ES45
had been correctly jumpered to 128MB, but, of course,
could not join a cluster running in 512MB mode.

SOLUTION: all machines are jumpered to 128MB now. You
have to shut down each member to do this, but the process
itself is just the setting of a jumper.

---[original question]---
I have a problem with a new cluster member. It is an
ES45 with 1 MC controller. After clu_add_member, when
it tries to boot genvmunix for the "first" time as a
cluster member, it reliably crashes with "MC2 adapter
has to little memory".

Thanks to all who replied!
