It sounds like no real known issues with PK6. There
was an item mentioned on this list in another subject
about the change in the find command. I have run a
sys_check -escalate and saved off all the system files
(including crontab). I will be installing the patch
kit tonight. If I encounter any issus I'll update the
list.

Rich,

I have an 800 and a DS20 that were at PK4 and PK5
respectively. We
apparently encountered a memory-related bug that
required us to go to PK6.
The 2 problems I ran into were:

1) on the 800 a missing genvmunix prevented a
security-related patch
(#2084?) from being installed. There were a number of
other patches that
then failed to install because they required this
primary patch. I
copied genvmunix from the installation CD, reran
dupatch, and everything
loaded.

2) on the DS20 we changed root's crontab (as many
people do) and this
caused dupatch to keep from installing the same patch
(2084) which in
turn prevented many other patches from getting
installed. I baselined
the system, reran dupatch, and everything went in.
However, dupatch
overwrote root's crontab with it's own from PK6 so we
lost what we had put
in. Moral of the story: know what you're baseling and
save copies of
what gets overwritten if you need them.

While these aren't really issues with the PK per-se
I'm passing this on
in case they help you in any way.

hth,
Andy

Sandy Test

Hi:
I installed the patch kit 6 three days ago, and so far
so good. I did have to do a base-line before
installing the patch. I also asked our hp support
person for "known issues", and she told me that she
hadn't heard of any.
