AlphaServer 1000 Continually Halts

Dear Managers,

We have an aged AlphaServer 1000 4/266 that won't stay up for more than
about 5 minutes anymore. It either halts with a halt code of 5 or 7. It
had started with the halt code 5 crashes in August, and we chalked that up
to the temperature in the room where the server sits. We took some steps
to improve circulation, and then things were OK until mid-November, when
we had a bad day on which it went down 4 times in about 30 minutes. After
opening the case and cleaning a monumental amount of dust out of the air
intake area, things improved again until today. I've actually lost count
of how many times it's gone down today, despite checking to ensure that
the air vents were clear. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is
happening and what can be done to resolve the problem? It really won't
even stay up long enough for me to get in and check any error logs at this
point.

Thanks,
